Site Summary
Nestled in the wooded natural beauty of Grizzly Jack's Grand Bear Lodge, The
Active Bible Church of God will again observe God's Feast of
Tabernacles here at Grizzly Jack's!. Located along I-80, Grizzly
Jack's is only 88 minutes from downtown Chicago. Yet, it offers all of
the peace, tranquility, and natural beauty of the Starved
Rock State Park in this lovely setting, contrasting a rustic ambience
with all of the expected modern amenities in the cabins, suites, and
villas, along with a few extras.
We are a small group, thus this is a small intimate Feast site. But we have a strong belief in going all out to make God's Feast an uplifting, spirit-filled, positive foretaste of the Feast to come in God's Kingdom. As it should be, we plan the feast in such a way that it is the spiritual highlight of your year!!
Daily Services
All Worship services will be held in the Grand Bear Room of the Grand
Bear Lodge. We have traditional services consisting of an
opening prayer and congregational hymn singing , daily announcements,
special music performed by Festival participants (Please let us know
what your talents are and what you would like to play or sing during
the services), and, at the center of all services, is a Scripture-based
sermon designed to uplift teach, and encourage. Interactive Bible
studies are planned, and some of these will be held in the cabins
during the evenings. Our schedule is full, but not so full
that you will have no time to relax or explore the Utica area on your
own or in groups.
Accommodations
For your comfort and convenience, you can stay at the
Grand Bear Lodge or in one of their comfortable, fully equipped villas
or cabins. Your
accommodations include free access to the (indoor) water park and
amusement park. Call 866-399-3866 or locally call
815-667-3866. When calling the Grand Bear Lodge, tell them
that you are coming for the Active Bible
Church of God Feast of Tabernacles, your discount will
then be applied.

Service Opportunities
There will be opportunities to help out at services (ushers, etc) and
there will be help needed to assist in the serving of the daily
meals for all attendees. Again, you have musical
talent, there will be opportunities for special music or praise dancing during the daily
services as well.

need an approximate count of how many will be attending so that we can
adequately prepare the daily meals for all of our attendees. These
meals have been one of the highlights of the Festival and are designed to cut your meal expenses considerably.

Less than 90 minutes from Chicagoland, give or take a suburb or two!
Take I-55 South to I-80 West.
Follow the directions from I-80.
From I-80:
Take Exit 81/Utica (Route 178) South from either directioCCn. Grizzly Jack’s Grand Bear Resort is located 3 miles south of I-80 on Route 178. Drive through the town of Utica. Cross over the Illinois River. Drive one mile past the entrance to Starved Rock and the Resort is on your right.
From I-39:
Take I-39 to I-80 East from either direction.
Follow the directions from I-80.
