Site Summary

Nestled in the wooded natural beauty of Grizzly Jack's Grand Bear Lodge, The Active Bible Church of God will again observe God's Feast of Tabernacles.  Located along I-80, Grizzly Jack's is only 88 minutes from downtown Chicago. Yet, it offers the peace, tranquility, and  natural beauty of the Starved Rock State Park in this lovely setting. 

Daily Services

All church services will be held in the Grand Bear Lodge.  We have traditional services opening with an opening prayer and congregational hymn singing , daily announcements, and a Scripture-based sermon daily at each service. Interactive Bible studies are planned and some of these will be held in the cabins during the evenings.  Our schedule is full, but not so full that you will have no time to relax or explore the Utica area on your own or in groups. 

Accommodations

As for accommodations, you can stay at the Grand Bear Lodge or in one of their comfortable, fully equipped villas or cabins. Your accommodations include free access to the (indoor) water park and amusement park.  Call 866-399-3866 or locally call 815-667-3866.  When calling the Grand Bear Lodge, tell them that you are coming for the Active Bible Church of God Feast of Tabernacles, your discount will then be applied.

Service Opportunities

There will be opportunities to help out at services as well as help needed for serving of the daily meals. If you have musical talent, there will be opportunities for special music during the daily services.

Feast Schedule

All daily Services will be held in the Grand Bear Room at the Grand Bear Lodge.  Daily Services begin at 11:00 a.m.  A Praise and Worship session is planned and daily meals for attendees will be served in the rented Luxury Cabins daily. There will be Sermons and other Scripture-based Interactive presentations delivered at all Services. We at ABCOG believe that Believers are best served by sound doctrine preached and taught from the Word of God.  In a world falling apart according to prophecy, there must be an anchor that holds. And a hope of the Kingdom of God, ever present  in our lives.
