Site Summary

This will be our 5th year celebrating the Feast at beautiful Honey Creek Resort State Park.   Far from any big 'touristy' attractions, the site offers an opportunity to come out of the world and spend time learning, growing, and developing relationships with other members of our church family.  We look forward to another Feast filled with meaningful messages, inspirational music, thought provoking seminars and Bible Studies, and fun fellowship focused activities for all ages, and we would love to have you join us.

Honey Creek Resort is owned and operated by the State of Iowa Department of Natural Resources and is first class in every respect.  The resort is located on the 11,000 acre Rathbun Lake. The property itself has 850 acres and includes hiking and biking trails, an 18 hole golf course, boating, kayaking, an indoor water park, cottages, suites, rooms, an excellent on site restaurant and much more.

Location of Services

All services are held right there at Honey Creek utitlizing the ballroom and several breakout rooms.  The schedule includes a mix of 'traditional' services, Bible studies, seminars, and music services.  Children's classes and teen studies will also be offered.

Accommodations

Rates are quoted per room per night and are subject to applicable lodging, state and local taxes at time of check in and the Conservation Fee of 3.75%.

• Standard Lodge Room - $71.00/night
  Available as either a King room or a room with two queen beds. Some have adjoining rooms. Each has a desk with chair, oversized sitting chair and ottoman, 32 inch flat screen TV, large closet with iron and ironing board, hair dryer and personal coffeemaker.
• Executive Lodge Room - $81.00/night
  Available with the same bed setup as standard lodge rooms but are larger. Each has a table with four chairs, oversized sitting chair and ottoman, 32 inch flat screen TV, large closet with iron and ironing board, hair dryer and personal coffeemaker.

The rooms are clean, large and very nicely furnished. Please note they are hotel style rooms and do not have kitchens, microwaves, or refrigerators.  (That's OK, though, because we will have many meals together)

• 1 bedroom cottage - $126.00/night
  One queen bedroom and an upstairs loft with a twin over a full bunk bed, a sofa sleeper and 1 bathroom. (Sleeps 6)
• 2 bedroom cottage - $136.00/night
  Typically have a queen bedroom, a bedroom with the twin over a full, a sofa sleeper and two bathrooms. (Sleeps 6)  Some 2 bedroom cottages have a queen sized bed in each bedroom.
• 4 bedroom cottage - $156.00/night
  Typically have two queen bedrooms, two bedrooms with the twin over a full, a sofa sleeper and two bathrooms. (Sleeps 10-12)

Cottage kitchens include a variety of cookware and mixing bowls, silverware, knife set, kitchen utensils, and dishes including plates, bowls, glasses and coffee mugs.   Paper towels, dish soap and dishwasher soap, dish towels and broom with dust pan are also provided.  Bathrooms include hand soap, body soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, bath and hand towels, and washcloths.  Bedding and pillows are provided.

All cottages have charcoal barbecue grills and camp fire rings. Firewood and charcoal is available for purchase at the resort.

• RV campsites are also available for $25/night

Special Note: These rates are for those who make a 7 night reservation. If you are only able to come for a portion of the Feast you will be placed on a waiting list by the Resort. Priority will be given to those who are able to keep the entire Feast with us. We will contact those on the waiting list as we get closer to the August 12th deadline.

To Make Reservations:

In order to receive the special group rate when you make reservations, we are asking that you fill out the registration form first.  Once you have registered (We really need to know you are coming so that we can plan accordingly), you will be given a registration code.  You will need that code to register.  

After you have registered:

• Call Honey Creek Resort directly at either 641-724-9600 or 877-677-3344.   

• Let them know that you are with the Interdependent Churches of God Festival Association (Feast 2015) and give them your reservation code.  
• Make your reservations as soon as possible.
  Honey Creek Resort has guaranteed us our room block if we book them by 08/12/2015. After August 12th, they will release the rooms to the general public. You may still be able to get a room after that date, but you will be competing for available rooms with the general public.

Service Opportunities

We can always use volunteers.  If you play a musical instrument and/or sing, if you'd be willing to help out with hall set-up or help with food prep or service for one of our group meals or activities, help with children's classes, give a seminar, or anything else, please let us know, and we'll pass it along to the appropriate people.  There is a spot on the registration form to let us know if you are willing to help in some way.

Registration and Contact Information

Yes, please, please, please register and let us know that you are coming.  For the first time this year we are asking that you register first before making your reservations.  

Why?

Because we need to know you are coming so that we can plan accordingly.  We will have many meals and activities together, and we want to be sure everyone is fed.  We also need to plan for children's classes and teen studies and activities.  We'll use the contact information you give us to keep you informed as the Feast nears.

Feast Schedule

The Feast Schedule is now available.  Some events and times may still change, but it  will give you a good idea of what to expect at the Feast site.

Meals - A variety of meals, consisting of breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, will be provided throughout the Feast.  Each day's planned meals are listed on the schedule andare provided free of cost.  Festival donations and offerings will be used to cover these costs for everyone, and all are welcome.

Family Fun Night - we have scheduled a fun evening of  skits, jokes, and songs, so be sure to be thinking of what you'd like to share.  If there are not enough acts to fill up an entire evening, we will also be playing games, so feel free to bring some cards or your favorite games.
