Site Summary
Cradled within a glorious range of mountains, is a sanctuary filled
with pristine lakes, pine forests, abundant gardens, orchards and
vineyards, sandy beaches and superb amenities. Stretching from north to
south for approximately 110 kms (68 miles) is beautiful Okanagan Lake.
This tranquil setting is the location for a small group of
non-denominational believers to celebrate Sukkot (Feast of
Tabernacles). Between 30 and 60 people from a wide range of
backgrounds (ranging in age from newborns to seniors) are expected to
join us for these 8 days.
Services are scheduled for 10:30am daily and consist
of interactive bible studies and teachings, live worship, Hebraic
dancing and DANCING INSTRUCTION, as well as Daily Childrens Program.
Several communal evening meals and BBQs for those interested.
Two afternoons have been set aside for group outings with options such
as : orchard tours and visits, zip-lining, Kangaroo Creek
Farm, etc.
Location of Services
Services will be held at the Killiney Beach Community Hall midway
between Vernon and Kelowna on Westside Road.
Services are scheduled for 10:30am daily and consist of
interactive bible studies and teachings, live worship, Hebraic dancing
and DANCING INSTRUCTION,
as well as Daily Childrens Program.
Accommodations
Many of us will be staying at La
Casa Cottage Resort (approx 10km from the meeting hall)
approximately 30 minutes from Kelowna.
There is the option to rent houses (2 or 3BR) from private
owners rather than from the resort for a reduced
rate. PLEASE contact us for more information
Camping is available at Fintry Provincial Park south of La Casa Resort
and Killiney Beach Community.
Other Accomodation options include local Bed and Breakfast in Killiney Beach and surrounding areas.
Service Opportunities
Options for serving include: leading of messages and bible
studies, leading worship or bringing your musical instrument, help with
the Childrens Program,
miscellaneous things such as set-up and clean-up,etc
