Feast of Tabernacles 2012 - Charleston, SC

Site Summary

Last year our family had a wonderful time in Charleston. The only thing missing was YOU! :) It would have been nice to get together with others to share God's word on the convocation days. As a family, we had a song service and Bible Study each morning after breakfast. Afterwards, we went into Charleston and did an activity as a family. There was so much to do, that we have a "bucket list" of things to do this year. Some will be a repeat of last year (Angel Oak, Firefly, The Charleston Tea Plantation, Ravenel Bridge), and some will be what we didn't get to last year (Fort Sumter, the Yorktown, South Carolina Aquarium, Slave Market). We would love to spend some time with others and show you the Queen's City and introduce you to a bit of South Carolina's fascinating history.

Come join a very small family-friendly site in Charleston, South Carolina. Activities include a song service on the first and eighth days, and the Sabbath in between, followed by a Bible Study. Come ready to share what God has shown you about His Holy Days, and be open for small group discussion about it. Children will be included in the Bible Study time, with most discussion directed towards teaching them.

Location of Services

Location is unknown at this time.

Last year we met at the Campground at James Island County Park. Since we were camping, our dress was nice casual. Services would be interactive. We used the WCG Hymnal (blue and burgundy) for songs, though other songs could be included if others bring the music for them. Hand-held instruments (recorders, shakers, etc.) are welcome during the song times.

We enjoyed tent camping at the Campground at James Island County Park. Prices were very reasonable (approx. $37 a night for tent camping, $42 for back-in sites, and $44 for pull-through sites) and only 20 minutes from downtown Charleston. Those staying at any other facility need to pay $1 per person to enter the Campground.
