Nestled in the wooded natural beauty of Grizzly Jack's Grand Bear Lodge, The
Active Bible Church of God will again observe God's Feast of
Tabernacles here at Grizzly Jack's!. Located along I-80,
Grizzly
Jack's is only 88 minutes from downtown Chicago. Yet, it offers all of
the peace, tranquility, and natural beauty of the
Starved
Rock State Park in this lovely setting, contrasting a rustic ambience
with all of the expected modern amenities in the cabins, suites, and
villas, along with a few extras.
We are a small group, thus this is a small intimate Feast site. But we have a strong belief in going all out to make God's Feast an uplifting, spirit-filled, positive foretaste of the Feast to come in God's Kingdom. As it should be, we plan the feast in such a way that it is the spiritual highlight of your year!!
Daily Services
All daily services will be held at 11 am in the Grand Bear Room of the
Grand
Bear Lodge. A Praise and Worship session is planned and daily
meals for attendees will be served in the rented Luxury
Cabin daily. Sermons and other Scripture-based
Interactive presentations will be given by Pastor R. Allan Curtis
as well as guest speakers: Clifton Buchanan (CGI, Texas), Ray Hall
(Feastkeepers Church of Yahweh, New York), George Tanksis (Home
Fellowship, Canada), John Norte (Home Fellowship, Canada), Albert De
Bolt (CGI, Texas) and Jacques Russell (CGI, Texas).
We at ABCOG believe that Believers are best served by sound doctrine preached and taught from the Word of God. In a world falling apart, there must be an anchor that holds.
Accommodations
You can stay at the Grand Bear Lodge or in one of their
comfortable, fully equipped villas or cabins. Your
accommodations
include free access to the water park and the amusement park.

Service Opportunities
There will be opportunities to serve and display your talents
at our services. If you have a musical talent, there will be
opportunities for Special music during services as well as during the
yearly Feast Fun Show. There will also be help needed for
serving
of the daily breakfast and afternoon meals. There will be a
sign-up sheet at the registration table daily.
Registration and Contact Information
All reservations can be made through the Grand Bear Resort,
but please let us know that you are coming. We need a count
to
know how many will be attending and how many we will be expecting to
feed daily. There will be a breakfast and Afternoon Dinner for all
Festival attendees. This has always been a highlight of the
Feast!

Feast Schedule
We have traditional Services opening with an opening prayer
and congregational Hymn singing, daily announcements and a
Scripture-based Sermon daily at each Service. Speakers include Pastor
Clifton Buchanan, Pastor Ray Hall, and ABCOG Pastor R. Allan
Curtis, with more to be announced.
Several Interactive Bible studies are planned and some of these will be held in the cabins during evenings. The schedule is full, but not so full that you have no time to relax and time for yourself.

Area Attractions
All attendees will have access to the Grand Bear Falls indoor water park, Enchanted Forest indoor amusement park and Laser tag arena. The Lodge is less than 5 minutes from the Starved Rock State Park., which is a beautiful, scenic nature park Bring your cameras!
For off-site breakfast, try Joy and Ed's. Again, there is much to do in the area and our program schedule is flexible enough to allow time for what you want to do.
Directions:
Less than 90 minutes from Chicagoland, give or take a suburb or two!
Take I-55 South to I-80 West.
Follow the directions from I-80.
From I-80:
Take Exit 81/Utica (Route 178) South from either directioCCn. Grizzly Jack’s Grand Bear Resort is located 3 miles south of I-80 on Route 178. Drive through the town of Utica. Cross over the Illinois River. Drive one mile past the entrance to Starved Rock and the Resort is on your right.
From I-39:
Take I-39 to I-80 East from either direction.
Follow the directions from I-80.
