Feast of Unleavened Bread 2017
April 4-11, 2017
God provided “a place” in the Appalachian foothills of eastern Kentucky between Hazard and Jackson for those interested in keeping the 360 or 364 day calendar feasts. We are looking forward to all He has in mind for us as we meet with Him there.
Our goals would be to fellowship around the Bible each day - in all our conversations - and to learn from each other. There are no special speakers planned, but we are looking forward to each person bringing forward the riches God has given them. The Bible says to bring an offering - even daily - and we see how that can be fulfilled in many ways: by sharing ideas, spiritual experiences, Bible study facts and inspirations, the produce of your land, funds, willing hands to help, watchful eyes and alert spirits, etc.
We will be staying at what is normally a summer camp for kids. It is rustic and secluded - not a resort - but comfortable, accommodating and homey.
There are rooms, bunk cabins, several RV spaces and a grassy
area for tenting.
(Rates are $20 to $50/night.) It is not a large facility, but we think it will work well for us. There are some outdoor recreational activities available, as well as an indoor game room, and there is a year-round mountain stream that bubbles its song along one side of our main tenting area.
We are planning to prepare our own food. Group meals to be determined, and there is a kitchen available. The Passover lamb group meal is scheduled. There are nice bathrooms and showers available.
